You pay in USD. The hourly rate covers your guide’s time. Airport rides, overtime, and some on-site costs are billed separately so checkout stays predictable.

Overtime

If the day runs long

Time beyond your booked hours is invoiced separately at $35/hr — not the launch promo rate. Your guide sends an overtime invoice after the trip.

Expense boundaries

What you pay on-site

Guide public transit (subway/bus) during accompaniment is included — not billed to the traveler.
Admission tickets for attractions are paid on-site by the traveler, including the guide’s entry when they accompany you inside.
Food and drinks for travelers are out-of-pocket. For sit-down meals together, the traveler covers the guide’s meal; otherwise the guide pays for their own quick meal.
Optional taxis or rideshares requested by the traveler are paid on-site by the traveler.

Checkout

When you pay

Your guide sends a quote in chat. When you accept, you pay the booking invoice by card. Promo codes go on that invoice before you pay.

Overtime, if any, is a separate invoice after the trip. Tickets, meals, and optional taxis are paid on-site during the day — not through GlowHop.
